Silver Star Mid-Harvest Olive Oil
Mid-season: fresh yet smooth, with a buttery finish.
This mid-harvest extra virgin olive oil has the clean taste and buttery finish characteristic of the Mission varietal, but is milder than the first harvest. Grown, cold-pressed and bottled in Butte County, this mellow oil is easily adaptable in the kitchen.
From the Kitchen: Nearly endless recipes spring to mind, but try sautéing the Mid-Season with apricot preserves, our Traditional Dark Balsamic Vinegar, and a touch of tamari soy sauce to sear and glaze chicken breasts. Serve this easy-but-elegant entrée over a bed of jasmine rice, steamed snap peas, grated purple carrot and dried cranberries.
